Nagarkurnool: With summer temperatures rising, people need to take extra care to avoid heatstroke, especially young children and the elderly. Nagarkurnool District Collector Badavath Santosh gave this warning during a meeting held on Monday.

The meeting was organized by the District Medical and Health Department and took place at the Integrated District Offices Complex in Nagarkurnool. Additional Collectors Amrendar and Devasahayam also attended the event.

Additionally, he advised the public to avoid alcohol, tea, coffee, and soft drinks, as well as heavy, protein-rich foods during hot weather. If anyone feels unwell because of the heat, they should visit the nearest Primary Health Centre right away.

To help people cope with the heat, the Collector ordered that drinking water be provided in all government offices. He also said that workers like farmers, construction laborers, and those under employment guarantee schemes should be given proper shade, clean drinking water, and ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) packets at their work areas.
