Bhadrachalam: A young woman, aged 22, has made a full recovery after spending two months on a ventilator at the Bhadrachalam Area Hospital. She had ingested a harmful pesticide.

Madakam Sirisha, from Lakshmi Colony in Cherla mandal, consumed Monocrotophos on April 1. Initially, she received basic care at the Community Health Centre in Cherla, where some of the poison was removed from her stomach.

For advanced treatment, she was transferred to the hospital in Bhadrachalam. Her lungs were found to be seriously damaged, so the medical team, led by pulmonologist Dr. Jagadish, put her on a ventilator. This step was crucial for her recovery.
