Hyderabad: Musharraf Faruqui, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited, aims for uninterrupted power supply. To achieve this, he instructed Superintending Engineers to check down to the Distribution Transformer Level in the LT Network and conduct a special drive to fix any detected issues.

During this drive, CMD Musharraf Faruqui and Director Operations Dr. Narsimhulu inspected areas on Tuesday morning. They walked about five kilometers through various narrow lanes in the Gymkhana Section of the Secunderabad Circle. They talked with consumers and checked the LT network for problems like hanging wires, cables with joints, and uninsulated HG fuse sets. Faruqui ordered the electricity officials to fix these issues by evening and provide photographic proof.

Faruqui told section officers (Assistant Engineers) to start work at 8 AM, carry out area-specific inspections from pole to pole, and address any faults found. He praised the ongoing efforts of Electricity Engineers and Staff, noting reduced issues in the 33 KV and 11 KV networks. He acknowledged that power problems still occur when trees or branches fall on poles during heavy winds or rain, but these are being fixed quickly. Faruqui added that he will conduct surprise inspections daily or on alternate days until the special drive is complete.
