Hyderabad: As the PC Ghose Commission report points at BRS leader K Chandrashekar Rao, there’s buzz about whether he will attend the Assembly to defend himself. Many party members remain silent, but some suggest that KCR should respond with facts and figures in the Assembly.

Other party members believe Rao might avoid attending due to health reasons. They argue that senior leaders like K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao can handle the questions about the Kaleshwaram report effectively.

The government plans to discuss this report in a special Assembly session likely in the third week of August. KCR has mostly been absent from Assembly sessions since the elections, except for significant events like taking the oath and the first day of the budget session, where he didn’t engage in discussions.

With accusations directly aimed at the Leader of the Opposition, there’s mounting pressure on KCR to attend and defend himself. An unnamed senior leader mentioned that, as the mastermind behind the state’s irrigation projects, KCR should personally address Revanth Reddy in the Assembly rather than relying on others to speak for him.
