Gadwal: Boya Ramakrishna, the BJP Municipal President of Vaddepally, is calling for urgent repairs on the damaged Koyal Dinne Road near Kurnool Road. He highlighted this issue during his inspection of the municipality area.
The road, located close to the NH-44 national highway, is a common route for school children, residents, and motorcyclists. Rainfall makes the road very slippery due to mud and potholes, causing frequent accidents.
Heavy vehicles using this road and poor maintenance have created large potholes that fill with knee-deep water during rains. Residents insist that at least the section within the municipal area should be paved with a proper BT (Bituminous) road.
The road’s lack of proper drainage and cement concrete (CC) adds to the problem, causing water to stagnate on the surface. People living in nearby colonies, especially in Wards 9 and 10, face health risks. Stagnant water and poor conditions have led to diseases like dengue and malaria, affecting both children and adults.
Local residents, along with BJP leaders, have warned of a protest on the muddy Koyal Dinne Road if the municipality does not act quickly.
The protest plan and inspection were joined by BJP district vice president Madhusudan Goud, town general secretary Boya Venkateshwarlu, and vice presidents Mohan Yadav, Shekhar Achari, Eshwar, Naresh, Raghavendra, Boya Hussain, Govardhan, Hari, Ayyaraju, and others.
