The new bridge will create a direct link between Shastripuram and Chintalmet. It will connect to the Bengaluru National Highway, providing better access for commuters traveling between these areas.

MRDCL (Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited) will handle the project’s administrative aspects. The corporation has received authorization to issue the Letter of Acceptance and complete the final agreement with the construction company.

This bridge forms a crucial part of the Musi rejuvenation project. City planners designed it specifically to reduce traffic jams in the area.

The structure will feature impressive specifications. Engineers have planned a 2.6-kilometer span with four lanes for vehicle traffic. The bridge will use a cable-stayed design, which provides both strength and visual appeal.

The project follows the EPC model, meaning KNR Constructions will handle engineering, procurement, and construction phases. This approach streamlines the building process and ensures single-point responsibility for completion.

Traffic congestion has been a persistent problem in this part of Hyderabad. The new bridge aims to provide relief by offering an alternative route for vehicles crossing the area.
