Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to speed up flyover and underpass projects across Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region (CURE). The focus is on easing traffic congestion and improving connections across the city.
Officials were asked to streamline one-way traffic around KBR Park and improve junctions. The plan also includes reviewing free-left turns and U-turns to help traffic move more smoothly.
The Chief Minister called for faster utility shifting and progress on the Nagarjuna Circle–Jubilee Hills Check Post flyover. He asked officials to study infrastructure projects in Mumbai and explore construction methods that could complete projects within a year of their launch.
Officials will study a possible radial road parallel to the proposed Hyderabad–Mumbai bullet train corridor. They will also examine road widening and new road links between Shankarpally and Chevella.
The review also covered plans to put 500 million litres per day (MLD) of recycled water to use. Priority areas include Bharat Future City, data centres in Chandanvelly and Aluru, industries, high-rise buildings, landscaped areas and parks.
The proposed recycled-water supply is intended to serve urban growth and public spaces, while the road and flyover projects focus on improving connectivity across CURE. Officials were directed to take forward the plan to use 500 MLD of recycled water.
