The Telangana Climate Conclave will be held on December 8 as part of the INVEST Telangana Global Summit-2026. The conclave will focus on the El Niño effect, problems caused by climate change, and investments in both immediate actions and long-term solutions.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed preparations for the summit at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat. Ministers and senior officials attended the meeting. The summit will run from December 7 to 9 at the Young India Skills University (YISU) campus in Bharat Future City.
The meeting covered the venue, the halls, invitations to international delegates and the conduct of programs. The Chief Minister directed that a liaison officer be assigned to every delegate. He asked officials to share complete summit information with delegates in advance so they face no inconvenience. He also suggested inviting Chief Ministers of other states, appointing a special officer and a security official for each sector, and ensuring strong security. Companies coming forward for investment agreements and new industries should receive special invitations, he said. Officials must submit a complete preparation plan by November 15.
Officials said the arrangements are on a much larger scale than last year’s Telangana Rising Summit. Instead of one expo hall, six exhibition halls are being set up. The program stresses investments, industries, modern technology, innovation and jobs. Plans are in place for 52 sector-wise conclaves in four main halls over three days. Twenty-five sector-wise executive councils have been formed to run the summit.
The Raksha Expo will display equipment, drones and robotics from the defense, aerospace, space and cybersecurity sectors, and air displays are being planned. So far, 49 organizations have agreed to take part. India Joy will cover animation, visual effects, gaming and comics. A Startup Pavilion will showcase innovations from 136 startups. Under the Telangana Innovation Startup Challenge (TISC), organizers are inviting technology solutions for agriculture, education, health, protection of government lands and public infrastructure.
About 60 companies will exhibit at the Pharma and Life Sciences Expo. The agriculture and allied sectors pavilion will highlight modern farming practices, agricultural drones, poultry, fisheries and food processing. The Telangana Pavilion will present the state’s history, culture, handlooms, Bathukamma, Kakatiya sculpture, development progress and future plans. The Chief Minister asked for greater emphasis on tourism. He also said the Education Expo, covering education, research and skill development, should reflect Telangana’s education sector “from nursery to Oxford.” He suggested that the Cabinet Sub-Committee, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka with ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu and Vivek Venkatswamy as members, review preparations periodically.
Around 200 scientists, farmers and experts from various sectors will take part in the Telangana Climate Conclave. Discussions will address El Niño, climate change and drought conditions. The key areas are drought-resilient agriculture, livestock protection, drinking water security, protection from high temperatures, forest and biodiversity conservation, and turning waste into wealth.
The Chief Minister emphasized identifying problems already emerging due to climate change and framing immediate actions along with long-term strategies. He directed officials that the conclave should play a decisive role in developing a special action plan to tackle drought and climate challenges in the state. The Deputy Chief Minister, ministers and the Chief Secretary were among those who participated in the review meeting.
