Helpline for addressing people's grievances launched by Andhra Pradesh CM

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has launched a new program called ‘Jaganannaku Chebudham’ which aims to help people with their individual problems relating to government services or schemes. The program includes a toll-free helpline number, 1902, which citizens can call to raise their concerns with the Chief Minister’s Office. This is an upgraded version of the previous ‘Spandana’ program.

During the launch, the Chief Minister addressed over one lakh government officials via video call from all village and ward secretariats across districts. He emphasized that he and all government officials are there to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh, and that the grievance redressal helpline aims to resolve individual grievances in the most effective manner.

By calling 1902, individuals can quickly and easily raise governance-related grievances that are impacting them and their families. They can also make inquiries about government services and welfare schemes from the comfort of their own homes. The government has formed Project Monitoring Units (PMUs) to ensure timely and effective resolution of citizens’ issues. These teams will work at various levels of government to regularly follow up and monitor the redressal process.

The Chief Minister’s Office directly scrutinizes these monitoring teams, ensuring that every grievance receives the attention and action it deserves. The government aims to address all citizen grievances raised on the helpline promptly and with utmost care and attention. Citizens are also given a follow-up feedback call after their grievance has been resolved. If a citizen feels that their issue needs to be revisited, the government will reopen the case and escalate it to a senior officer to ensure that every concern is addressed in the best possible manner.
