Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, claimed that the BJP’s earlier allegations about Congress and the BRS working together in Telangana have now been proven true.

He said on Friday that the alliance between Congress and BRS is still strong. According to him, both parties are planning to hold a joint public meeting in Telangana soon. Preparations for the event are already underway, with the parties deciding on the speakers and invitees.

Bandi Sanjay pointed out that during the recent voting on the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in Parliament, both Congress and BRS voted against the Narendra Modi-led government. He also mentioned that neither party has fielded candidates for the MLC elections in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) local bodies. Instead, they have chosen to support the Majlis party’s candidate.

He criticized the Congress party for not taking action against the BRS, especially after making serious corruption allegations before the elections. Congress leaders had accused the KCR family of misusing crores of rupees in the Kaleshwaram project, power purchase deals, and the Dharani land portal. They also alleged that KTR was involved in corruption. At that time, Congress promised to hold the KCR family accountable if they came to power. Now, Bandi Sanjay alleged, Congress seems to be protecting the BRS and ignoring those corruption claims.

He also raised concerns about reservations for Muslims. He said that in the last GHMC elections, the Majlis party won 30 seats meant for backward classes (BCs) due to these reservations. With the introduction of a 10 percent reservation for Muslims under the BC category, he warned that BC communities might face unfair treatment in education and jobs.

Finally, Bandi Sanjay accused Congress and BRS of handing over control of Hyderabad to the Majlis party. He urged the people of Telangana to stay alert and be aware of what he called secret political deals and collusion among Congress, BRS, and Majlis.
