Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan will remain in jail as the Mumbai Sessions court has announced that it will pronounce order on his bail plea on October 20.
On Wednesday, the Mumbai Court had adjourned the hearing on bail applications of Aryan Khan and others for today, October 14.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in its reply, filed in the special court on Wednesday had said that the agency’s investigation has revealed Aryan Khan’s role in illicit procurement and distribution of contraband.
NCB in its reply has mentioned that the materials collected during the investigation have primarily revealed that Aryan Khan has a role insofar as illicit procurement and distribution of contraband is concerned. In its reply, the NCB mention, it is prima facie revealed Aryan Khan used to procure contraband from Arbaaz Merchantt and the sources connected to Arbaaz Merchant, from whose conscious possession (shoes) 6 grams of Charas was recovered. Aryan and Arbaaz have been associated in moving/close collaboration with each other, which is sufficient to attract offences, more particularly section 29 under the NDPS act.
NCB further mentioned that there is material on record to show that Aryan was in touch with some persons abroad who appear to be a part of an international drug network for illicit procurement of drugs.
On Wednesday, Aryan Khan and five other accused, who were arrested by Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug raid case, were shifted to the common cell of the Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail after their Covid report came negative. They were earlier lodged at the quarantine barrack of the Arthur Road Jail here.
A total of 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested so far in the case related to the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2.
