BRS Begins Campaign for Government Workers' Rights

Hyderabad – The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has decided to start a strong campaign demanding justice for government employees and pensioners in Telangana. The party accused the Congress-led state government of ignoring the needs of thousands of current and retired workers.

On Friday, top BRS leaders gathered at the home of senior member Harish Rao. The meeting was led by K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), the party’s Working President. Former leaders from employee unions, retired officials, and teacher representatives also joined the discussion.

They voiced frustration over the government’s failure to fulfill promises made before the elections. For the past 18 months, essential demands like clearing pending Dearness Allowances (DA), implementing Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations, and timely release of pensions and retirement benefits have been ignored.

Many retirees said they are struggling to get what they rightfully deserve. Some shared that they are being forced to visit multiple offices just to claim basic benefits.

Both Harish Rao and KTR condemned the government’s inaction. “As the main opposition party, we cannot sit back while lakhs of employees suffer,” they said. “We will speak up and stand by them.”

The BRS plans to create a clear action plan soon. The party called on former union leaders, especially those who were active during the Telangana statehood movement, to join hands in this new fight.

“BRS has always supported employees,” the leaders said. “We will work closely with them and increase pressure on the government until change happens.”

The party will soon announce a detailed strategy and begin gathering support from employee associations across the state.
