Hyderabad: On Monday, BRS MLAs staged an unusual protest, accusing Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of having a secret “friendship” with businessman Gautam Adani. The legislators created a buzz by showing up at the Telangana Assembly wearing T-shirts with bold slogans targeting this alleged connection.

The T-shirts carried messages like “Delhi lo kusti, gully lo dosti” (Wrestling in Delhi, Friendship in the Gully), criticizing Revanth Reddy’s political behavior. The MLAs also shouted slogans such as “Telangana thalli maadi” (Telangana belongs to us), emphasizing their dedication to protecting the state’s pride and autonomy.

Speaking to the media, BRS leaders accused Revanth Reddy of putting Telangana’s interests at risk for personal benefits and business ties. They alleged that while the opposition appears combative in Delhi, they maintain questionable relationships at the local level.

Inside the Assembly, the session turned heated as BRS leaders used the protest to stress their commitment to safeguarding Telangana’s welfare. The unconventional demonstration sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning whether it would have a real impact on the state’s political landscape.

Revanth Reddy has not yet responded to these accusations. Meanwhile, political analysts believe this incident could further intensify the rivalry between the BRS and Congress as the elections approach.
