Hyderabad: TPCC President A Revanth Reddy questioned the silence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the issue of ‘One Nation One Election’. Reddy alleged that KCR’s silence can be seen as approval, as he has a ‘tacit understanding’ with the saffron party. He also accused the ruling party, BRS, of always supporting simultaneous elections for both the Assembly and Parliament.

Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, Reddy pointed out that BRS has supported Bills tabled in Parliament by the ruling party and claimed that they will also support this Bill. He challenged KCR to prove him wrong and clarify his stance on the issue.

Reddy also recalled how KCR had written in support of ‘Jamili elections’ to the Union government in 2018. He criticized the decision to make former President Ramnath Kovind the head of the panel, stating that none of the ex-Presidents were involved in a politically motivated decision-making committee.
