Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Congress government is dedicated to ensuring fair distribution of Indiramma houses to all eligible individuals through a clear and honest process.
Speaking at a public event after the housewarming of Indiramma houses in Kothagudem, Reddy criticized the previous BRS government for not fulfilling the housing dreams of the poor during their decade-long rule. He emphasized that the current government is focused on providing permanent homes without any corruption. He stated, “We are ensuring justice for all rightful beneficiaries.” The Revenue Department, led by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, is tasked with overcoming issues related to the Dharani portal and overseeing the construction of these houses. The Chief Minister praised Ponguleti for his competence and effective management of key departments.
Reddy also challenged the BRS party, accusing them of merely criticizing the Congress. Referring to recent election results, he predicted that voters would reject the BRS again in upcoming local elections. He boldly stated, “If BRS gains more seats as they claim, I will personally apologize to KCR,” daring them to win the majority.
Reflecting on the past, Reddy recalled the YSR era when the Congress granted 25 lakh houses to the poor, achieving their homeownership dreams. He noted, “Some villages might lack Hanuman temples, but none are without Indiramma houses.”
The Chief Minister also outlined educational initiatives, highlighting a Rs 20,000 crore investment in Young India Integrated Residential Schools across 100 constituencies. He stressed the power of education to transform lives and committed to establishing an ATC in every constituency, aiming for self-reliance over dependence.
