Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh is encouraging young people without jobs in the area to use the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana (DEET). This online tool, created to provide private job opportunities, can be a valuable resource.
On Monday, Collector Santosh launched the DEET poster at the meeting hall of the Integrated District Office Complex (IDOC). He explained that the Telangana State Government, guided by the Department of Industries, has set up DEET to connect job seekers with private companies.
DEET uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help students and unemployed youth find jobs with private and corporate employers. Job seekers can download the DEET app on both Android and Apple devices. Those without smartphones, like students in hostels, can register at www.deet.telangana.gov.in.
The platform currently has over 8,443 job openings, offering full-time, part-time, and work-from-home positions.
Anyone aged 15 and above can apply, from those with basic education to M.Phil./Ph.D. holders. DEET is open to all social groups, including people with disabilities, who can also find internships and apprenticeships.
For more information or help, the following helpline numbers are available: 92814 23575, 23576, 23577, 23578, 23579.
Key officials present at the event included Additional Collectors Lakshmi Narayana and Narasinga Rao, District Industries Officer Ramalingeshwar Goud, Industries Promotion Officer Bhaskar Reddy, District Employment Generation Officer Priyanka, Animal Husbandry Officer Venkateshwarlu, Agriculture Officer Sakriya Naik, and Lead District Manager Srinivas Rao.
The district administration aims to ensure that young people from all backgrounds can access job opportunities, with DEET playing a crucial role in increasing private sector employment in Telangana.
