Hyderabad: On Saturday, the Congress party filed a complaint against K T Rama Rao, BRS working president, at the OU police station. This action followed his claims that Group-1 posts were being sold for Rs 3 crore each. Chanagani Dayakar, a PCC general secretary, demanded an apology from the former MA&UD Minister and threatened a Rs 100 crore lawsuit as compensation to the State government if he refused. Dayakar emphasized that KTR should back up his claims, arguing that such reckless statements could damage the government’s reputation. “KTR should apologize to the government within 24 hours, or we will proceed with a defamation suit of Rs 100 crore against him,” he stated during a media briefing after filing the complaint.
Dayakar criticized the BRS party for failing to support the youth and unemployed due to ineffective policies. He pointed out that during their ten-year rule, they couldn’t even hold Group 1 exams. He condemned KTR’s comments, which he believes provoke anger against the government among the unemployed. Dayakar affirmed that the Telangana government is dedicated to supporting the unemployed. He respected the court’s decision but accused the BRS of playing politics with constitutional systems. KTR’s claims that the CM and Ministers accepted Rs 3 crore from candidates, Dayakar argued, reflect ignorance. He urged Telangana’s unemployed youth to respond strongly to KTR’s harmful campaign.
