Hyderabad: A major milestone was achieved by DEC Infrastructure and Projects (India) Private Limited, a company based in Hyderabad. They won a significant contract to build new living quarters for Central government employees in New Delhi.
The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) of the Government of India accepted their bid, awarding them a contract worth Rs. 2,000 crore. This project involves redeveloping the general pool residential colony at Sriniwaspuri in New Delhi.
Anirudh Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of DEC Infrastructure, expressed gratitude to CPWD for the contract. He stated that the goal is to provide modern housing for government employees. “This achievement highlights our dedication to delivering top-notch infrastructure in both private and government sectors,” he said.
The project includes building 3,112 flats, each with 1,100 square feet, across 16 blocks on 20.86 acres. These high-rise units will feature single basement, stilt, and three-level podium parking. Additional facilities include multi-level parking, a community center, and a Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) dispensary.
The redevelopment will incorporate all development works and services on an EPC (Mode-I) basis, with comprehensive maintenance and service operation for five years post-construction.
Ravinder Gupta, Whole Time Director of DEC Infrastructure, commented on the achievement, saying, “Our expertise has been acknowledged with this prestigious project for the beneficiaries in the national capital.” Recently, the company also secured a Rs. 317.32 crore contract for phase-I conservation and retrofitting in North Block, New Delhi.
DEC Infrastructure is engaged in projects worth more than Rs. 10,000 crore across various sectors in India. They are currently working on seven projects, including Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) in Alwal, Government Medical College in Ramagundam, Medical College and Hospital in Mancherial, a prisons complex in Siddipet, and a railway station at Egmore near Chennai.
The company is also developing the High Court of Telangana and a railway station in New Delhi. The Delhi railway project costs Rs. 2,200 crore, while Central Cabinet Minister Chambers in New Delhi is valued at Rs. 295 crore. Additionally, NBCC India Limited awarded them a contract for a residential colony in Noida, costing Rs. 2,500 crore.
