Singareni Collieries Company Limited received an award for its environmentally sustainable mining and power generation practices. The Singareni Thermal Power Plant was recognized for its efforts in reducing pollution, conserving water and fuel, managing waste, and initiating green enhancement initiatives. The award was presented on World Environment Day at a program in Hyderabad hosted by the State Pollution Control Board. The Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav presented the award to Vishwanatha Raju, the company chief of power.
