    Today, on 31 March 2023, the gold rates in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai have seen an increase. In Delhi, the rate for 10 grams of 22-carat gold has remained at Rs. 54,850, while 10 grams of 24-carat gold is at Rs. 59,820. Similarly, in Chennai, the rate for 10 grams of 22 carats is at Rs. 55,450, and for 24-carat gold, it is at Rs. 60,450 with a hike of Rs. 300. The gold rate in Kolkata for 10 grams of 22 carats is at Rs. 54,700, and for 10 grams of 24 carats, it is at Rs. 59,670. In Mumbai, the rate for 10 grams of 22 carats is at Rs. 54,700, and for 10 grams of 24 carats, it is at Rs. 59,670. The silver rates in Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai have remained steady at Rs. 73,300 per kilogram, while in Chennai, it is at Rs. 76,200.

    The gold and silver rates are subject to change every day and are influenced by various factors such as changes in international market currency prices, inflation, gold reserves at central banks, interest rates, the jewellery market, geographical tensions, trade wars, and many other factors. Experts suggest that the recent decrease in gold rates can be attributed to the Federal Reserves’ hint at a rise in interest rates.
