As of March 24, 2023, petrol and diesel prices in major cities across India have remained stable. In Delhi, the current petrol price is Rs. 96.72 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 89.62 per litre. Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s petrol price is Rs. 109.66 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 97.82 per litre. Chennai’s petrol price is Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs. 94.24 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs. 106.31 per litre and diesel remains steady at Rs. 97.28 per litre. Bangalore’s petrol price is at Rs. 101.94 per litre while diesel price remains at Rs. 87.89 per litre.

It’s important to note that India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which means that crude prices play a significant role in determining fuel prices. However, other factors such as increasing demand, government taxes, depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, and refinery capacity ratio also impact domestic fuel prices.

It’s worth mentioning that the fuel prices mentioned above are subject to change at any time as petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) adjust fuel prices based on crude oil prices.
