Malkajgiri MLA Ch Malla Reddy, known for his simple lifestyle and intelligent thinking, is back in the spotlight. This time, it’s not for his funny remarks in the Assembly but for his efforts to protect his family’s properties, including several colleges in his constituency, after challenging CM Revanth Reddy.
Despite rumors of him joining the Congress party, Malla Reddy remains loyal to the pink party. His family has a significant stake in institutions like Malla Reddy Engineering College, Malla Reddy Health City, and Malla Reddy University.
Interestingly, Malla Reddy, who claims to be a college dropout who made his fortune by selling flowers and milk, has faced challenges from the current Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Cases have been filed against him, and some of the college buildings have been demolished.
During his time as Labour Minister in the BRS regime, Malla Reddy was known for his witty and humorous responses to any situation, earning him the nickname ‘Mass Maharaju’. He admires former CM KCR for his support over the years.
