The Delhi High Court has ordered a meeting to be held within two weeks to discuss security measures in court premises. This comes after a shooting incident at the Rohini district court on September 24, 2021, which resulted in three deaths. Another shooting incident occurred in the Saket District Court premises on April 21, 2021, where a woman was injured. The court has directed senior police officers and bar associations to meet and suggest steps to ensure safety in court. The court has also emphasized that designation should not grant immunity from security checks. The high court had initiated a petition on its own concerning security at courts in the national capital earlier this year.
