Hyderabad: The Telangana Housing Board has set a new sales record for its land plots, with prices reaching Rs 1,14,000 per square yard in Chintal, Quthbullapur.
During an auction on Monday, land prices in Chintal hit an impressive Rs 1.14 lakh per square yard. Housing Board Vice Chairman VP Gautam explained that a 513-yard High-Income Group (HIG) plot started at Rs 80,000 but sold for Rs 1.14 lakh per square yard. Another 389-square-yard HIG plot sold for Rs 1 lakh per square yard.
The auction generated about Rs 44.24 crore from the sale of 18 plots and four flats. Twenty-seven bidders participated, leading to an average price of Rs 91,947 per square yard. With rising land prices near KBHB and Gachibowli, the Chintal area exceeding Rs one lakh per square yard reflects high demand for residential land across the city.
