The election process will begin with the issuance of the notification on March 28. Candidates can submit their nominations until April 4. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on April 7, and candidates can withdraw their names until April 9. Voting will be held from 8 AM to 4 PM on April 23, and the counting of votes will happen on April 25.
This election is being held because the term of BRS MLC MS Prabhakar is ending on May 1. With the election announcement, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into effect in Hyderabad. The Election Commission will now oversee all political activities and government decisions related to the election.
