The fair, which started on Friday at Maruti Gardens, Lakdi Ka Pul, will run until March 27th. Book enthusiasts can purchase boxes of books of different sizes at respective prices and fill them with books of their choice. The fair offers three different sizes of boxes – small, medium, and large – graded by prices according to their size. The buyer has to purchase books as a one-time payment and can carry them in any box of their choice.

    Around 1 lakh books of various genres have been displayed for readers to buy, including Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown, Enid Blyton, the Sherlock Holmes series, children’s books, health and fitness, self-help books, encyclopedia, and many more. Thilak Desingh, the founder of usedbooksfactory.com, said that he was inspired by his struggles during entrance exam preparation to set up a platform to source books of various genres for book lovers to buy. He added that people are spending less time on reading books due to social media, and this platform will help people access books easily and cultivate their reading habits.

    The book fair has been organized for the first time in Hyderabad and has yielded good responses. There are various collections of books on offer, including non-fiction, fiction, young adult, crime, children’s books, and many more. Customers have expressed their delight at the fair, with one college student saying that it is helpful for her to explore and get access to a wide range of books at a budget-friendly price. Another customer purchased 17 medium-sized books, while a police officer bought two large boxes to donate to prisoners at the jail for cultivating a reading habit among them.
