The leaders of the Rythu Bandhu Samithi (BRS) party have expressed their expectation that their party’s MLC, K Kavitha, will be arrested soon. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, the Chairman of BRS, spoke to the media in Hyderabad and stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) would definitely arrest Kavitha, either today or tomorrow.

Rajeshwar Reddy further stated that the ED operates in a certain manner, with the ED boss being directly in touch with the Prime Minister’s office. Once they receive directions, they will arrest Kavitha. He also claimed that the ED had conducted inquiries into over 5,400 cases but had only secured convictions in 23 of them. He alleged that those who join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are given a let-off.

The BRS party is expecting Kavitha’s arrest due to her alleged involvement in a money laundering case. The ED has been investigating her for her links to a company that was involved in a scam worth crores of rupees. The case has been ongoing for some time, and Kavitha has denied any wrongdoing.

It remains to be seen whether Kavitha will indeed be arrested by the ED. Nevertheless, the BRS party leaders are preparing for the possibility and are standing by their MLC.
