Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and criticized the leadership of the Congress party. Reddy, who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2010 to 2014, said he was joining the BJP because he believed in the party’s ideology and its commitment to development. He also criticized the Congress party’s leadership, saying that it was not able to provide a strong opposition to the ruling government.

Reddy’s decision to join the BJP comes at a time when the party is trying to strengthen its presence in Andhra Pradesh, which has traditionally been a stronghold of regional parties like the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress Party. The BJP has been trying to make inroads into the state by highlighting issues like corruption and the lack of development under the TDP and YSR Congress governments. Reddy’s entry into the party is expected to give a boost to the BJP’s efforts to expand its base in Andhra Pradesh.

In his statement, Reddy also criticized the Congress party for its failure to provide a strong opposition to the ruling government. He said that the Congress party had lost its way and was no longer able to provide a credible alternative to the BJP. Reddy’s criticism of the Congress leadership comes at a time when the party is struggling to revive its fortunes after a string of electoral defeats. The party has been trying to rebuild its organization and strengthen its leadership in order to mount a credible challenge to the ruling government in the next general elections.
