Hyderabad: The Food Corporation of India (FCI) expanded the due date for supply of customized crushed rice (CMR) for paddy relating to the last (2021-22) Kharif period.

Following initiatives of Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar and also his group, the FCI consented to expand the due date for supply of CMR to November 30.
According to authorities, regarding 70 lakh lot paddy was created last year, which would certainly lead to CMR of around 50 lakh lot after milling. The FCI consented to obtain the whole paddy. Considering hold-up on component of the millers, the FCI consented to expand the due date.
