    Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, along with Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and top police officials DGP Anjani Kumar and City Police Commissioner CV Anand, attended the inauguration of new buildings for Humayun Nagar Police Station and Kulsumpura Police Station in Hyderabad on Monday. The new buildings are meant to enhance the infrastructure of the police stations in the South West Zone.

    During the event, Home Minister Ali praised the state government’s pioneering initiatives in the police department. These include increased monthly maintenance budgets for police stations, the installation of a massive video wall to monitor CCTV feeds, and the implementation of state-of-the-art technology and a large patrol fleet.

    DGP Anjani Kumar emphasized the importance of public participation in nurturing a harmonious society and urged parents to play a role in counseling youngsters who may be veering off track. City Police Commissioner CV Anand reflected on the infrastructural advancements in the police department since the formation of Telangana and emphasized the need for police to instill fear in criminals while fostering trust among the general public.

    The attendees included other government officials and police officers who inspected the facilities and interacted with staff. The Humayun Nagar Police Station is now a G+4 structure, while the Kulsumpura Police Station has three floors. Both stations are equipped with visitor lounges, reception desks, multiple officer cabins, CCTV viewing centers, meeting rooms, and ample parking facilities. The state government has reorganized the City Police Commissionerate to cater to the recent population growth and future policing requirements.
