The Telangana High Court has ordered the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the TSPSC AE question paper leak case and submit a new report by June 5th. State NSUI president Balmoori Venkat Narsing Rao and two others filed a writ petition seeking a transfer of the case to the CBI or a probe by a sitting judge. Justice Reddy, while hearing the case, observed that the SIT’s investigation was slow but he was satisfied with the progress made so far. The court wants a senior IPS officer to review the investigation and file a status report.

The court also questioned how many employees in TSPSC, who appeared for exams and got more than 100 marks, have been questioned. Rao and the Advocate-General replied that out of 18 outsourcing employees, only one had permission to appear for the exam and the others are being questioned. The CFSL report is awaited due to which the investigation has been delayed. The SIT will file a final report on the investigation in a few days.

The court directed them to respond by June 5th. The court also directed the registry to tag the writ petition filed by the People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), seeking a direction to register a case against the police and a direction to the State to pay compensation of Rs. 3 crore to Chiranjeevi’s dependents.
