Excitement filled the air as schoolchildren met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi onboard the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat train on Saturday. The train was flagged off and around 60 students from various schools and colleges were selected to board the train with their paintings and essays, which had been chosen through a prior competition. Most of the students were in grades VI to IX. One student, Akhil Reddy, a class IX student from Railway School, Chilakalguda, described his experience interacting with PM Modi as mesmerizing. Modi encouraged the students to study well for their upcoming exams and to include yoga in their daily activities. Madhavi, a class VIII student from St Ann’s School, was thrilled to have her painting selected with the theme Vande Bharat and to have met Modi. Another student, Shreya from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Picket, was ecstatic to have interacted with the Prime Minister after winning an essay writing competition. One student from Johnson Grammar School asked Modi how he manages his time and Modi replied that proper planning and scheduling can make attending many programs possible. Despite not having enough time to discuss wildlife protection with Modi, the student was able to show him their painting on Vande Bharat. Another class IX student shared their passion for sailing with Modi and received his well wishes for success in their pursuits.
