On Monday afternoon, a school bus carrying 40 students from Sri Chaitanya School, Majeedpur, met with an accident near a tea shop at Dongala Mysamma in Hyderabad. The driver reportedly dozed off while driving, causing the bus to crash into a tree and slide over a trench. Fortunately, only two children were injured, and the rest of the students were reported to be safe.
The Shamirpet Police were quick to respond and clarified that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The injured students were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for first aid and were later discharged after receiving treatment from the school management.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety, especially when it comes to transporting children. It is crucial for drivers to be well-rested and alert while behind the wheel, especially when carrying precious cargo such as school children. We hope that this incident will prompt school authorities and transportation companies to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their students.
