WebPT, a leading provider of electronic medical record (EMR) software for physical therapists, announced the opening of its new centre in Hyderabad, India, following a deal made at the World Economic Forum in Davos earlier this year. The new centre is set to open in just 100 days and will serve as a hub for the company’s global operations.

The decision to open a centre in India was driven by the need to expand WebPT’s global footprint and meet the growing demand for its software. The company currently serves over 115,000 therapists across the United States and Canada, and the new centre in Hyderabad will allow WebPT to better serve its international customers.

“Hyderabad is the perfect location for our new centre,” said Nancy Ham, CEO of WebPT. “It has a strong talent pool, a supportive business environment, and a thriving technology ecosystem. We believe that our investment in this region will help us continue to innovate and deliver the best possible solutions to our customers.”

The new centre will initially focus on software development and customer support, with plans to expand into other areas of the business over time. WebPT has already begun recruiting for positions at the new centre, with a goal of hiring over 100 employees by the end of the year.

“We are excited to be part of Hyderabad’s growing technology community,” said Ham. “We believe that our presence here will help us attract top talent and contribute to the region’s economic growth.”

WebPT’s expansion into India is part of a larger trend of companies looking to tap into the country’s large and growing talent pool. India has become a hub for technology outsourcing and has a large pool of skilled workers in areas such as software development, engineering, and customer support.

The company’s move into India also reflects the growing importance of digital health solutions in the healthcare industry. As more healthcare providers move towards electronic medical records and other digital solutions, companies like WebPT are well-positioned to meet the growing demand.

Overall, WebPT’s new centre in Hyderabad is a positive development for the company and the healthcare industry as a whole. By expanding its global footprint and investing in new talent, WebPT is poised for continued growth and success in the years to come.
