Leaders from Congress, Janata Dal (United), and Rashtriya Janata Dal met in Delhi to discuss the possibility of uniting against the ruling BJP in the 2024 general election. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, party leader Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and RJD chairperson Tejashwi Yadav were among those present. They plan to reach out to other parties and hold a larger meeting to strategize against the BJP. The leaders called the meeting historic and pledged to protect the Constitution and provide a new direction for the country.
