In Hyderabad, the deadline for filing nominations for the Jubilee Hills by-election ends on Tuesday. As today is the final day, candidates from major political parties are submitting another set of nomination papers. Both independent candidates and those from major parties are participating in this by-election. So far, 127 nominations have been submitted.
BJP candidate Lanka Deepak Reddy is scheduled to file his nomination on Tuesday at the Shaikpet MRO office. His wife has already submitted one set of nomination papers on his behalf. On Tuesday morning, Deepak plans to perform special prayers at a temple in Highland Colony. The BJP will organize a rally from this location to Yusufguda Basti. Central ministers, including Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, along with BJP state president Ramachander Rao, MPs, and MLAs, are expected to attend the event.
For the Jubilee Hills by-election, Maganti Sunitha Gopinath has filed her nomination on behalf of the BRS party, and Naveen Yadav has done so for the Congress party. Election officials will review these nominations on October 22. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 24, with polling set for November 11. The vote counting will take place on November 14.
