Karimnagar to Get 50-Bed Integrated AYUSH Hospital with ₹15 Crore Sanction

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced the official approval of a 50-bed Integrated AYUSH Hospital for Karimnagar on Tuesday. The project has been sanctioned with a total budget of ₹15 crore under the National AYUSH Mission, with ₹7.5 crore already released for the implementation of the facility. The hospital will provide comprehensive traditional healthcare services including Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Homoeopathy, Unani, and Siddha systems of medicine to residents of the region.

The new hospital is expected to transform Karimnagar into a major AYUSH healthcare centre for North Telangana. The facility aims to bring traditional healthcare services closer to the people and provide them with alternative medical treatment options. This development is part of the central government’s broader initiative to strengthen traditional healthcare systems across the country and make them more accessible to citizens in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued support in strengthening traditional healthcare infrastructure in the country. He also thanked Prataprao Jadhav, the Union Minister of State with Independent Charge for the Ministry of AYUSH, for processing the request and ensuring timely approval of the project. The minister emphasized that this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting indigenous medical systems.

The project has received cooperation from the Telangana State Government, with Bandi Sanjay acknowledging the support of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha. The collaborative effort between the central and state governments is expected to ensure smooth implementation of the hospital project. The facility will be equipped with modern infrastructure while maintaining the traditional approach to healthcare delivery.

The National AYUSH Mission was launched by the central government to promote AYUSH medical systems through cost-effective healthcare solutions. The mission focuses on upgrading AYUSH hospitals, dispensaries, and educational institutions across India. The Karimnagar AYUSH Hospital will join the network of such facilities being established nationwide to provide holistic healthcare alternatives to the general public.
