Kalvakuntla Kavitha, a suspended leader from the BRS, accused Harish Rao and Santosh Rao of corruption on Wednesday. During a press conference, she announced her resignation from both the primary membership of BRS and as an MLC. Kavitha warned the party’s working president, KT Rama Rao (KTR), about these leaders’ alleged corrupt activities.
Kavitha, daughter of BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), expressed her continued support for the idea of a “Golden Telangana.” She questioned KTR’s silence, stating it had been 103 days since she raised concerns about a leaked letter. Kavitha urged KTR, as her brother, to address the issues.
She claimed there was a plot to divide her family, which would benefit certain individuals. Kavitha appealed to KCR to be aware of the actions behind his back, suggesting her suspension was a step toward dividing the family. She warned KTR that ignoring these issues could harm others in the future.
Kavitha accused Harish Rao and Santosh Rao of conspiring with Revanth Reddy. She questioned an incident where Harish allegedly touched Revanth’s feet during a flight from Hyderabad to Delhi. Kavitha also brought up allegations about Harish’s farmhouse at Ranganayak Sagar and his milk business.
According to Kavitha, Harish Rao creates problems rather than solving them. She accused him of seeking BJP support to field a second candidate during an election. Kavitha blamed him for the party’s defeats in Dubbaka and Huzurabad and warned that his actions could harm others in the future.
Kavitha described Santosh Rao as an insignificant contributor who caused trouble in Nerella. She claimed Santosh was responsible for a violent incident involving Dalit families, which tarnished KTR’s reputation. She also alleged that Santosh’s associate, Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, amassed significant wealth, including a farmhouse worth over Rs 750 crore in Mokila.
Kavitha announced her resignation from the MLC post and BRS primary membership, which she submitted to Ravula Chandrashekhar. She clarified that she has no plans to join another political party and intends to discuss future actions with Jagruthi leaders.
