CPR is a life-saving procedure that can restore the flow of blood and oxygen in the body when someone experiences cardiac arrest. Commissioner Anand explained that if the heart starts beating again, the individual who fainted may regain consciousness. CPR ensures oxygenated blood continues to circulate to vital organs, including the brain, preventing serious damage.

He emphasized the urgency of starting CPR immediately for anyone who has lost consciousness, as delays can lead to irreversible brain damage. Performing CPR quickly can save lives, so it is crucial to act without hesitation in emergencies. While administering CPR, it is also important to call for emergency medical assistance to ensure proper care is provided.
