BRS leader accuses CM of conceding defeat, demands accountability for two years of Congress rule

Hyderabad, November 7, 2025 – BRS Working President KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a roadshow in Vengal Rao Nagar as part of the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, challenging him to seek votes based on his 24 months of governance rather than diverting public attention.

CM Has Conceded Defeat: KTR

KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy has already conceded defeat in the Jubilee Hills by-election by stating that it is not a referendum on his government. “If Revanth has the guts, he should showcase his 24 months of governance and ask for votes,” KTR demanded during the roadshow.

The BRS leader said Revanth Reddy’s statement that Jubilee Hills is not a referendum on his governance clearly indicates his lack of confidence and awareness of strong public opposition. “His statements today make it clear that Congress’s defeat in the Jubilee Hills by-election is certain,” KTR remarked.

Compare Development Records, Says KTR

KTR urged voters to compare the development achieved during the previous 10 years of BRS rule with the chaos of the past two years under Congress governance. He highlighted the construction of government hospitals, roads, 47 flyovers, one lakh double-bedroom houses, and overall infrastructure development that positioned Telangana’s economy at the top and made Hyderabad a leading city.

“In the two years since Revanth Reddy came to power, people in all sectors have faced hardships. The poor have been deceived in the name of six guarantees,” KTR said, questioning whether votes should go to a government that has disappointed students, youth, farmers, and industrialists.

HYDRA Demolitions Under Fire

KTR sharply criticized the Chief Minister over HYDRA operations, accusing him of creating chaos and demolishing thousands of poor people’s homes while ignoring illegal constructions by influential figures. “If Revanth Reddy has the guts, he should demolish the illegal constructions of ministers,” KTR challenged.

He said the HYDRA bulldozer only targets the poor while sparing encroachers and big shots, calling for voters to teach Congress a strong lesson in the November 11 by-election.

False Promises and Broken Trust

Referring to the previous Cantonment by-election, KTR reminded voters that Congress had promised development if they won but did not carry out even a single rupee’s worth of work afterward. He warned Jubilee Hills voters not to fall for similar false promises.

KTR also questioned Revanth Reddy’s appeal to vote based on the governance of previous Congress governments unrelated to him, calling it an attempt to distract from his own failures.

Call for Congress Defeat

The BRS Working President said that defeating Congress in Jubilee Hills is essential to end the chaos and corruption of the past two years. “Only by defeating Congress will the six guarantees come into effect,” he claimed, urging voters to reject a party that has been deceiving all sections for 24 months.

KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy’s governance has brought Hyderabad to the depths, affecting employment opportunities across sectors from real estate to auto drivers, and pushing various sections to desperation.

The Battle Ahead

With the Jubilee Hills by-election scheduled for November 11, the political rhetoric has intensified. KTR’s aggressive campaign reflects BRS’s determination to challenge Congress in what is being viewed as a prestige battle for all parties involved.

The by-election is being closely watched as an indicator of public sentiment toward the Congress government’s performance in its two years of governance in Telangana.
