Hyderabad, November 2, 2025:  Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) predicted the party’s return to power within the next 500 days, asserting that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s (KCR) comeback to the helm of Telangana was “inevitable and unstoppable.”

Speaking at a massive road show at Rehmat Nagar in Jubilee Hills on Saturday evening, KTR launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress government, accusing it of misgovernance, broken promises, and attempts to manipulate elections. He warned party workers to stay alert, alleging that the Congress might resort to poll rigging in the upcoming bypolls and elections.

“The people of Telangana have seen the truth. They know who built this State and who’s destroying it. The countdown has begun — only 500 days left for the pink flag to fly high again,”
KTR told cheering supporters amid chants of ‘Jai KCR!’

BRS Reignited in Jubilee Hills

The road show drew an impressive turnout, with thousands of supporters thronging the narrow lanes of Rehmat Nagar to hear the BRS leader. The event, seen as part of the BRS’s revival campaign, comes ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election, which has turned into a prestige battle for both the BRS and Congress.

KTR highlighted the development projects and welfare schemes initiated under the previous BRS regime, including Mission Bhagiratha, Kaleshwaram Project, and Rythu Bandhu, contrasting them with what he called the “policy paralysis” of the current Congress administration.

“Within a year, people have realized what a mistake it was to believe Congress. They have failed to deliver even basic promises. The farmers, youth, and poor are disillusioned,” he said.

Warning Against Poll Manipulation

In a pointed message, KTR alleged that Congress leaders were planning to influence the electoral process through unfair means and warned of strict consequences if attempts to rig the polls were made.

“We will not sit quietly if democracy is tampered with. The people of Telangana will give a fitting reply,” he said.

Countdown to 2027

Political analysts say KTR’s “500 days” remark is a strategic call to rally the cadre and set the tone for the BRS’s comeback narrative as the 2027 Telangana Assembly elections approach. Party leaders have been holding public meetings across the State to revive ground support and reconnect with voters.

KTR ended his speech by reaffirming the BRS’s commitment to Telangana’s self-respect, welfare-driven governance, and development-first agenda.

“Telangana’s future lies in the hands of those who built it — not those who betrayed it,” he concluded, waving to the crowd as supporters raised slogans in solidarity.
