A shocking incident took place at the Mehfil Family Restaurant in Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad, on May 15. A customer, Gujja Krishna Reddy, discovered a cooked lizard in his biryani while dining at the restaurant.
Disturbed by what he found, Reddy immediately brought it to the attention of the restaurant staff. Instead of expressing concern or offering an apology, the staff gave a bizarre response. They told him the lizard was “nicely fried” and suggested he could still eat it.
Stunned by their reaction, Reddy escalated the matter to local authorities.
The police have questioned the restaurant manager regarding the incident. Meanwhile, health officials are expected to visit the restaurant soon to inspect hygiene practices and evaluate food safety standards.
