Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of Telangana plans to launch an aggressive campaign after the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 21. The campaign aims to explain the positive changes the government has made through various welfare schemes introduced since 2014. The chief minister wants to make sure that the ruling party maintains its positive impact until the end of the upcoming elections. The campaign will focus on the development and welfare schemes introduced by the government and seek public support for a third consecutive term.
KCR wants to take advantage of the four months remaining before the election notification by visiting all districts regularly and participating in several development programs. Local MLAs and public representatives will organize meetings with beneficiaries of various schemes in every Assembly constituency. Special programs will be held in every mandal from June’s last week to hand over benefits of recently launched schemes like Griha Lakshmi, Rs 1 lakh financial assistance for artisans and vocational communities, and Dalit Bandhu.
To counter the opposition parties’ negative campaign on issues like land encroachments and allegations on MLAs, KCR and BRS leaders plan to intensify their campaign against Congress. They will go to the people “exposing” the hidden agenda of TPCC to bring disrepute to the Dharani portal through various platforms, including a vigorous media campaign. The BRS party would be taking up a positive campaign on its schemes and developmental activities and would launch a campaign with “facts and data” to expose the opposition’s negative campaign.
