Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy highlighted the importance of taking steps to protect people and property due to the expected heavy rains in Telangana. He held a video meeting with district collectors to talk about the upcoming storms and discussed relief plans with Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao.
The Minister announced that each district would receive ₹1 crore for immediate relief efforts. He urged officials on leave to return to work, stressing the need for alertness as the bad weather is expected in the next three days.
During the meeting, Minister Ponguleti asked for updates from collectors on the situation in different districts. He gave instructions for rescue operations in low-lying areas. He also emphasized the need for better coordination among municipal authorities, traffic departments, and the Metro Water Board in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to handle the expected challenges effectively.
