Gadwal: Former Mandal Parishad President J. Vijay Kumar has thanked MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and District Collector B.M. Santosh for quickly taking action to improve water supply in Gattu Mandal.

For a long time, the villages of Antampalli, Edigonipalli, and Sankapuram, along with the Chinnonipalli R&R (Resettlement and Rehabilitation) Centre, had problems getting clean drinking water. The water from the Baligera overhead tank was not reaching these areas properly because there was no proper connection to the local water tanks.

After the issue was reported, MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and Collector B.M. Santosh immediately asked the Mission Bhagiratha engineers to look into it and prepare cost estimates. As a result, Rs. 19 lakhs were approved to build a new water storage sump near the Chinnonipalli R&R Centre.

This step is an important move toward solving water problems in rural areas and shows the government’s commitment to providing basic needs to the people.
