The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the MLC elections under the MLA quota. According to the schedule, the election will take place on March 20. The official notification for the election will be issued on March 3.
The terms of several MLCs will end on March 30. These include BRS MLCs Mahmood Ali, Satyavati Rathod, Sheri Subhash Reddy, Mallesham Egge, and MIM MLC Mirza Riazul Hassan Effendi.
As per the election schedule, nominations will be accepted from March 3 to March 10. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on March 11. Candidates who wish to withdraw their nominations can do so by March 13.
The voting will be held on March 20 from 9 AM to 4 PM. The counting of votes will begin at 5 PM on the same day. The entire election process will be completed by March 24.
