Nalgonda is experiencing significant floodwater entering the Musi Project. In response, officials have opened eight gates by two feet to let the water flow safely downstream.
The reservoir’s full level is 645.00 feet, but the water has now reached 643.60 feet. Both the inflow and outflow are balanced, with 8,815.90 cusecs each.
The Musi Project can hold up to 4.46 TMC of water, and it currently has 4.09 TMC. Water is being released through two canals: 96.12 cusecs from the right canal and 144.18 cusecs from the left canal.
Officials have ensured that all eight gates are open by two feet to manage the floodwaters effectively.
