Hyderabad: Students from Narayana Schools have excelled at the National Grappling Championship 2025, hosted by the Wrestling Federation of India. These students showcased incredible talent and effort, winning three gold medals and bringing pride to their school.
Ayush Thakur shined in the U11 division, capturing two gold medals. He triumphed in both the Gi event, which involves wearing a grip-friendly uniform, and the NO-Gi event, which focuses on direct grappling techniques.
In the U15 category, Vaishnavi Thakur secured a gold medal in the Gi event. These successes highlight the students’ hard work and the strong support from Narayana Schools. The school provided additional classes and mentorship to balance their academics and sports ambitions, showing dedication to fostering talent in multiple fields.
Sharani Narayana, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, praised the students’ achievements, stating, “The victories of Vaishnavi and Ayush demonstrate how young talent can excel when dedication is met with proper guidance and opportunities.”
