Telangana IT and MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao commented...

The LG Secretariat has given back files about Services to the Delhi government because of a Supreme Court decision. The government has control over the Services department, except for land, police, and public order, which the lieutenant governor still manages. The files contain proposals for hospital staff and a resignation from a Group ‘A’ staff member at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital. The departments can now take suitable action based on the Supreme Court’s May 11 ruling.

The Civil Services Board (CSB) will meet to discuss the Delhi government’s direction to move officers, including Services Secretary Ashish More. The Supreme Court’s judgment states that the elected government controls bureaucrats in Delhi, apart from those in police, public order, and land. More was dismissed by the Delhi government from his post on May 11, following the Supreme Court’s ruling. CSB’s meeting will be led by Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.

The two other members of the CSB are junior to the chief secretary, who chairs the board’s meeting, and they may not feel comfortable expressing their opinions during a physical meeting. Therefore, a draft of the meeting will be created in advance. The order states that the secretary of Services will prepare the first draft and send it to the other member, who will provide feedback. Then, the file will go to CS for further action.
