Expected Opening Date of Chirag Delhi Flyover for Traffic on April 1st

The ongoing repair work on the Chirag Delhi flyover has been delayed by a couple of days due to recent rains in the city, according to an official statement released on Saturday. The Public Works Department (PWD) minister, Atishi, has directed officials to ensure that the flyover is opened for traffic by April 1. During her second visit to the flyover in the past week, Atishi instructed officials to keep one lane of the flyover open for traffic during repair work. She noted that maintenance work was running two days behind schedule due to unexpected rains in the past few days. The PWD minister has instructed officials to expedite maintenance work on the first part of the flyover and prepare to open it for traffic by April 1. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is closely monitoring the maintenance work of the Chirag Delhi flyover. During a joint inspection with PWD and Delhi Police officials, Atishi instructed officials to make an action plan for better traffic management during the maintenance of both phases of work. Maintenance work is going on at the Chirag Delhi flyover, and a part of the flyover has been closed for traffic, leading to an increase in traffic jams. PWD officials had earlier stated that maintenance work was supposed to be completed in 50 days. The PWD is working on a war footing to complete the maintenance work of the Chirag Delhi flyover soon so that people can get relief from traffic.
